The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers a variety of water resource and related graduate programs. Two departments offer specific water resources courses, namely the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering and the Department of City and Regional Planning. Faculty are concentrated in areas of water resources engineering, surface and groundwater hydrology/water chemistry and biology, epidemiology, water resource management in developing countries, and water resource and related environmental policy. Related courses and degrees are offered in departments and curricula in Biology, Ecology, Geology, Geography, Marine Science, Political Science, and Public Policy.
