The University of New Hampshire offers several programs of graduate study in the general field of water resources.
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering has graduate programs in water resources engineering, environmental chemistry and environmental engineering systems. Efforts are focussed in field and laboratory settings. The Department of Earth Sciences offers a graduate program in Hydrology. Emphases are in hydrology, oceanography, ocean mapping and geochemical systems. The Department of Natural Resources and the Environment has programs, emphasizing environmental conservation, coastal ecosystems science, policy and management, and water resource management. For students interested in ecology, limnology and freshwater biology, programs are offered in the Departments of Biological Sciences and Microbiology.
