The University of Texas at Arlington is centrally located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Graduate studies in water resources are available through the water resources and environmental engineering programs in the Department of Civil Engineering. Fields of study within these programs include surface and groundwater hydrology, hydraulics, water quality modeling, water quality control processes, and hazardous waste management. Water resources and environmental engineering students are required to take courses from both programs which provide a broad background for understanding water resource issues.
Water related studies and courses are also available in the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Biology, and Earth and Environmental Sciences.
