A program in water resources if offered through the Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering. Students are encouraged to select courses in their fields of special interest within the Department and in appropriate divisions of the University. Thus each student's program is designed to provide him or her with a general view of the field while encouraging a thorough grounding in a limited area. Fields of study include such areas as surface and groundwater, hydrology, geomorphology, environmental systems analysis, environmental economics, and biological and chemical aspects of pollution and pollution control.
