Graduate studies in Hydrogeology at Montana Tech are “hands on”, field-oriented studies that encompass a wide variety of topics.  Students are offered a broad spectrum of course opportunities and Master's level degrees from three departments; Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Mining Engineering, with peripheral courses from the department of Geophysical Engineering.  Courses are offered in groundwater flow and contaminant transport, field hydrogeology, groundwater monitoring, groundwater resource evaluation, hydrogeochemistry, acid rock drainage, surface water and waste-water, water resource engineering, soil and subsurface remediation, surface-water modeling, bioremediation, wetlands studies, hydraulic structures, global position system (GPS) surveying, among others.
